Clean-Up Week
Each year, the Village of Roanoke holds a Clean-Up Day. The dates for 2024 are April 27th from 7:30am – 9:30am and September 7th from 7:30am – 9:30am. Electronics will also be accepted, but TVs WILL NOT.
The purpose of clean-up day is to provide a pick-up for small household items to be disposed of that cannot be set out for garbage pick-up. The Village does not accept household batteries but will accept car batteries.
This service is not intended for disposal of large construction/demolition projects, clearing the contents of a residence, paint, tires, or hazardous chemicals.
All items must be brought to the Public Works maintenance building on Mill Street and unloaded by the resident bringing them. All users of this service must provide proof of residency in Roanoke by showing an ID.

Tree Limb Pick-Up
The purpose of tree limb pickup is for storm cleanup and tree trimming only. Removal of trees and any part thereof is not included; in other words, trimming of an entire tree is not permissible. Brush must be stacked parallel to the curb, but not on the sidewalk or in the street. Limbs must not exceed 6 inches in diameter or 6 feet in length and must be manageable by our tractor bucket. Brush and twigs less than 24 inches long must be boxed, tied in bundles or in paper bags. Whole trees will not be picked up nor will material in plastic bags. Do not stack materials behind parked vehicles or on or around any water shut-off, power pole, guide wire, tree, sign post, mail box, etc. Also, this service does not include garden waste. If the above requirements are not met, material WILL NOT be picked up. The Village provides this service on the third Wednesday of the month from March through October. Limbs must be placed at the curb by 7:00am.
Leaf Pick-up
Leaf pick-up begins in Mid-October. Leaves must be to the curb (NOT in the street) by 7:00 AM.
Christmas Tree Pick-Up
Christmas tree pick-up will take place on January 9, 2025.
